A wordy Agony Aunt
I will make this a quick one. I am heading to Vampire Weekend with Billie tonight. I am sure you will hear all about it on Monday. Here is something I wrote during my last writers’ group meeting. We were prompted to write a silly agony aunt. Here is what I wrote:
Dear Agony Aunt,
I am writing to you today for some advice. I recently acquired a boatload of money, and I don’t know what to do with it. Don’t ask me how it happened. I just woke up one day and checked my account, as it was payday. I checked what I expected to be about £20K, but I all of a sudden had £3.8 million.
I was thinking about buying a Ferrari or a boat. I’ve always wanted to have an apartment in Manhattan. What do you think?
Am I being too vain? Am I making a bad decision just pissing the money away? Let me know. I am just an app designer who got lucky during a global pandemic.
Maybe I’ll buy myself a new laptop. I still don’t know.
Thanks in advance.
Lots of love,
Josh Wardle,

Pretty silly, right? I hope you enjoyed it. That is the guy’s name, by the way. The figures are made up, though. That’s all from me. Thank you for reading, and thank you for your time.
